Google Cardboard, For you Who Thinks This Gadget is Worthed

Google Cardboard

Have you ever wanted to try virtual reality out for yourself but can’t afford any of that cool Oculus Rift gear? That’s okay

, neither can we, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try to approximate a (cheap) VR experience with Google Cardboard.
Cardboard is an initiative launched by Google in 2014 to encourage development of virtual reality (VR) and VR apps. It’s called Cardboard because anyone can purchase or construct their own headset using simple
materials such as velcro, tape adhesive, and most importantly, cardboard. Upon acquiring a headset, you can then use your Android smartphone to try out various VR apps available on Google Play.
We decided to give it a try and picked up the EightOnes VR Kit off of Amazon for $17.99 (though at this time it is priced at $19.99). There are literally dozen of Cardboard kits out there, so check out Google’s Cardboard kits page or download and build your own using their step-by-step instructions.
Cardboard kits don’t usually come preassembled. Ours came in a flat, padded envelope. Included in the kit was the VR headset, a velcro head strap, and an instruction sheet.

Review Xiaomi Yi The Best Action Pro Camera for Newbie and Profesionals

xiaomi yi camera

One fairly big annoyance with the Yi camera is that until you shell out on some accessories, you have to take special care of the naked lens. The GoPro Hero can be thrown in any bag/backpack without concern. The Yi camera's exposed glass made me nervous about putting it pretty much anywhere, including a few times when I set it down the wrong way with the lens directly on the table. I ended up carrying it in my hand for the most part, which soon gets frustrating. Another minor gripe is that the battery/port covers are very losable. The GoPro Hero's all-built-in design also makes it a bit chunkier (and limits you to one battery charge per outing), but you'll come back with as much camera as you went out with. A plus for the Yi is that you can swap the batteries, but you'll need to buy more. If you can find 'em.
What you really want to know is, though, is this thing any good? The answer is, "It's not bad." In fact,
in some of my tests, it definitely gave the GoPro Hero a run for its money. I took both cameras out and shot several things side by side. This includes time-lapse videos, standard photos and, of course, regular video. In photo mode, the Yi has more pronounced colors and sometimes details are sharper. This, unsurprisingly, translates up into time-lapse videos, too -- which are, of course, just a series of photos. The examples below are shot with the Yi cam set to five-megapixel mode to be more comparable to the GoPro (which only shoots five-megapixel photos).

GOPRO HERO 4 Review, Best Camera Action for Prosumer and Newbie Photographer

GO PRO CAMERA

For as long as GoPro cameras have existed, they’ve been rectangles. While the little video cameras certainly do their jobs very well, a rectangular camera can be awkward to mount on your head or your board, and the shape certainly isn’t very hydro-dynamic. GoPro hopes to fix the problem of awkward bulk by introducing an entirely new form-factor: a cube!
The new Hero4 Session, which goes on sale July 12 for $400, is a real-deal action camera from the leader in action cameras. It’s waterproof without a case, and it’s tiny enough that it almost disappears once you’ve mounted it. With all of these improvements, the Hero4 Session is a big step forward for GoPro in some ways, but it’s a step backwards in others.

DJI Phantom 3. The Most Powerfull Drone in 2015

DJI PHANTOM 3

DJI’s drones weren’t the first ones to start buzzing around overhead. But as the popularity of remote-controlled quadcopters has continued to grow among consumers, DJI’s Phantom series of drones appears to be on its way to ruling the skies. Chat with a drone pilot at your local park—chances are, they’re flying a Phantom.

There’s good reason for their popularity. Phantoms are relatively cheap, they’re simple to operate, and the cameras that come attached to their bellies produce great images and videos.
The recently launched Phantom 3, the latest model, extends all of these strengths. The Phantom 3 doesn’t look much different than its predecessor, the Phantom 2. But while outward appearances may be the same, and the specs bump on paper doesn’t look huge, make no mistake, this is not a minor update. It’s evidence that the flying drone is truly ready for the mainstream.

Google Glass, Small Size Does Not Mean Have Low Quality

Google Glass

Google has continued to make the complicated ownership decision easier by adding more to its Explorer Edition heads-up display. In addition to the new 2GB version, an update late last year saw a tweaked form factor that made prescription glasses compatible with attachable frames.
Google has even been throwing in a free pair of frames or premium shades with all new orders since mid-April. Moreover, new apps and updates to the linear operating system that weren't available at launch make the current Google Glass Explorer Edition a tempting buy.
Still, this new Project Glass model is better at addition than subtraction. While features have been added, the price hasn't dropped. At $1,500 (£1,000, about AU$1,589), Google's experimental wearable is exorbitantly priced for the average person. It's also best if you're an Android, not an Apple person.

Cool Gadget, Watchdroid For Sport and For Business People
